Sandy Shore Trailer Park was formerly known as Camp Owaissa. It opened in 1925 and closed in 1977. Some of the original buildings including the event barn (pictured above), are still in use today. Sandy Shore Trailer Park celebrated 25ys of operation in 2007.

Although we have yet to really experience much of winter at the lake this year, I thought I would post an incredible picture of the Gull Island lighthouse (taken by Pat Hornibrook), this past winter. This historical lighthouse can easily be viewed from the beach on any clear day.
